Poolside Blue Stone Installation & Walkway Repairs

If you look at our tree removal portfolio, you will be able to see when we started this project. First we went in and removed many trees from the property. Then we repaired some retaining walls, laid stones into the walkways and then we installed 2 1/2ft x 2 1/2ft Blue Stone tiles, which covered an area 5ft wide x 45ft long.

Hedge Trimming

Not your average hedge trimming! This was a large project that turned out beautifully.

Commercial Mowing Account

This is an example of one of our commercial mowing accounts. The "inspector" showed up one day after mowing.

Shrub Pruning and Cleanup

The front garden to this home was very over grown and crowded. We trimmed back all plants and removed the dead ones. Weed block fabric was placed around remaining plants and shrubs and then red rocks were used in place of mulch. See the before and after pictures below.

Playground Area

At this home we created a fun space for children to play. We excavated out the area about 6-8" down. Then we installed a heavy weed block fabric, placed very large rocks around & filled the area with 6"s of processed playground wood chips.

Picket Fence Installation

Here we provided a fence installation in a yard to keep the kids and dogs in the yard. Contouring the lawn, this addition to the yard has added a beautiful touch.

Retaining Wall & Stair Installation

This job was challenging but fun! There was a large stump to be removed and an existing stairway in need of repair/replacement. As you can see, it is now a two tier retaining wall with a gradual stairway leading to the driveway and garage. In the spring, plants will be filling these new garden beds and some stonework will be done on the stairs.... this was a fun project and we are all thrilled with how it turned out.

Shrub Removal

At this location we removed several shrubs from alongside the building. Using mats, we drove the mini excavator up the lawn, removed the shrubs and prepped the area for new shrubs and flowers.

Kinsey Garden of Amherst

The Kinsey Garden is located just behind the Jones Library of Amherst, MA. Pictures below are separated into before and after pictures so that you get an idea of the maintenance we do here. Trees have been trimmed, for safety and cosmetic reasons. Plants were thinned out and transplanted throughout the garden and a fresh dose of mulch was added.

Raised Garden Beds With Fence

This customer requested raised vegetable garden beds with a fence. Using custom Black Locust boards, we created these large raised garden beds & matching fence. Leaving larger stakes around beds, we created a way to cover the beds if needed or for creating a trellis for climbing plants. We filled the beds with beautifully rich compost, laid landscape fabric down all around beds and topped it with processed wood chips.

Rustic Stone Walkway

This beautiful walkway was created using hand picked stones from a local rock quarry. Grass seed was then thrown over the whole area and now grass grows between each stone.

Fence Installation

We installed a vinyl fence at this location. Offered a tremendous amount of privacy for this home owner.

Installation of Paver Walkway

At the job shown below, we had to remove an existing brick walkway and replace it with a new manufactured paver.

Retaining Wall Installation

At this location we were working on a steep slope that came down to a pool that was recently installed. Around the pool, the hillside was eroding and there was a stump there that was the only thing holding the hillside from sliding down into the pool. Using a mini excavator we reshaped the hillside, removed the stump and installed a railroad tie retaining wall. We even created stairs out of the railroad ties that lead to the bottom of the hillside. This wall will be underneath a new wrap around deck that is to be installed.

At this home, the shrubs were very overgrown. Before pictures are on the left and after pictures are on the right.

Yard Clean Up/Brush Removal

At this location the homeowners wanted to utilize more of their overgrown backyard. Photos shown below are placed in order to see the improvements side by side. Left is the before picture and right is the after picture. And there was a surprise back there! A flower garden and blueberry patch.
